Camp Counselor and Nurse
In the Summer of 2016 I worked as a counselor and nurse for a Camp Alandale, a camp for children in Orange County's foster care system. As a counselor I was able to experience emotionally supporting children who have endured extreme trauma. As a nurse I experienced providing care to children with various intellectual disabilities and extensive medical needs. These needs included epilepsy, ADHD, bipolar disorder, major depression disorder, and more. These expereinces provided me with compassion for these children as well as an idea of a population I would like to work with in the future.
