The SEEKERS: A MOBILE VR GAME

Using games, researchers can better understand how preteen girls recognize and react to human trafficking while educating on how to safely respond. We seek to develop a sensor-enabled a choose your own adventure game about a group of young girls that spend time after school as dog walkers. A recent school presentation on human trafficking made them aware of the crimes that were devastating the lives of teens and young adults in their own community and around the world.

HACKATHON

Experience is the best teacher, and hackathons are all about experience. In this hackathon weekend, particpants will use eye and movement sensors to create games. Prizes will be awarded to teams that demonstrate the most effective use of motion controls, the most creative use of motion controls, and the best game using motion controls.

DISTRACTED DRIVING AND AGING

You are driving along and your cell-phone buzzes. What do you do? We all know that taking our attention off the road to look at our cellphones is dangerous, but what if we are stopped at a red light? How long does it take to go from using our cell phone to giving driving the attention it deserves? In this project we aim to study that question by developing a driving simulator that includes a cellphone.
